Your love candle arrives already fixed. What that means, what remains yours to do, and how to tend the work from first light to done.
Every love candle that leaves this house arrives already fixed: dressed, loaded, prayed over, and sealed to its assignment before it ships. The fixing is my work and it stays in this house. What this post covers is your half, from the first light to the last of the wax.
Before the first light
Read the ritual card in the box. It carries the timing, the days, and the way to open the work, and it exists so you are never guessing. Then get your petition straight: who you are calling toward you in qualities, what you are warming if it is someone already present, and what you will do in the natural once the road moves. Write it if writing helps. Speak it regardless.
Setting the light
Somewhere it can burn safely in your sight, because a love light wants attention the way love does. Set it, speak the petition over it plainly, and let it work. If the timing calls for burning in sessions rather than one sitting, the card covers how to close and reopen the work between burns.
Tending the work
Talk to it when you pass, the way the old folks did. Keep the area clean. Watch the flame and the wax without turning every flicker into a prophecy, because a candle is a working tool and not a horror movie. Steady, clean burns are what you want, and the card tells you what to do when a burn runs strange.
While it burns, you move
The candle holds the petition at home while you live like the answer is coming. Say yes to invitations. Wear the thing. Be findable. Love work stalls hardest for the person who lights the candle and then hides in the house, and I wrote the full troubleshooting list in Why Love Work Stalls.
When the candle is done
The ritual card covers the remains, so follow it rather than the internet. Then watch the natural world with a level head: the reconnection, the introduction, the person who suddenly has time. Pull Up is the candle this post was written for, and the discernment that should come before any love light lives in When to Do Love Work and When to Leave Him Alone.
Light it, tend it, live ready. The love candle teachings go deeper on the email list, at the bottom of this page.
