A road opener is the work you reach for in the seasons when nothing moves. The job stalls, the money sits, the door that should be open stays shut. Road opening work clears what is blocking the path and calls forward movement back in, and it is some of the oldest work in the tradition, the same formula the botanicas sell as Abre Camino. Our house learned it as road work, plain and simple. Every piece here is fixed for that purpose by a practitioner with ancestral lineage, prepared in the traditional way with the roots the work has always called for.
You know the season when you see it. Applications going out and nothing coming back. Deals that die in the last week. The same wall showing up in a new year wearing new clothes. That is what this work is for, and the old folks did not wait until the wall fell on them to work it. Some keep a road candle going before every big ask: the interview, the pitch, the court date, the move.
Clear My Path is the fixed road opener candle that anchors this collection, and Coming Through carries the same work into wax melts for the rooms where a flame can't sit: the candle for your ritual time, the melts for the everyday. Both are poured in small batches in coconut apricot wax, fixed before they ever reach you. Wednesday and Sunday are the traditional days for opening new roads, the New Moon and the Waxing Moon draw the opportunity in, and the work is tied to 111, the number of fresh starts.
In my family the teaching was plain: the road opens for the one already walking. Put the work down, then send the application, make the call, take the step. If you're new to candle work, start with how to work a fixed candle, then come back for the road that needs opening.
